ICNetCo POLICIES & Terms of ServicesI have read the terms of service and agree to them. Sign me up!Any violation of ICNetCo's policies or terms of service will result in immediate termination of your account. Any activity which compromises ICNetCo's ability to provide secure, reliable performance is prohibited. ICNetCo customers may not upload, download or store illegal copies of commercial software on ICNetCo servers. ICNetCo customers may not upload, download or store illegal material of any kind on ICNetCo servers. Violations will result in termination of service. Any illegal material found will be deleted from ICNetCo servers. ICNetCo customers may not run packet sniffers, "hacking", "cracking" or similar programs. "Hacking" or attempting to "hack" root or user log ins on any machine is prohibited. Any attempt to "hack" ICNetCo in any way is prohibited. Attempting to do so will result in immediate account termination. Any damage done to ICNetCo will result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. Using ICNetCo to "hack" other sites will result in ICNetCo complying with and cooperating with the injured party to help them prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. Web Host Accounts ICNetCo customers with web host accounts must not exceed the limits set forth in their web hosting agreement. ICNetCo customers may not run servers. A 'server' is defined as a client actively listening on a designated port for connections. ICNetCo customers who wish to serve data may do so through our web host service. Please see our web host price list for more information. E-Mail & USENET ICNetCo customers may not "spam" or flood the USENET with a single post to a large number newsgroups (6 or more) not related to the topic of your article, or make many posts with essentially the same content to many different newsgroups. ICNetCo customers may not forge e-mail or news postings (to include cancel messages, whether manual or automated). ICNetCo customers may cancel messages only from a newsgroup that they moderate. ICNetCo customers may not "spam" people via email. SPAM is defined as unsolicited (unwanted, unrequested) email. ICNetCo customers may not excessively crosspost or post off topic messages to USENET. This includes messages violating the specific newsgroup's charter or purpose. ICNetCo customers may not make physical threats against another person via e-mail, news or any other electronic media/service we provide. Spamming, UCE (Unsolicited Commercial E-mail), Flooding, Mail Bombing, Hacking, Spoofing, and Forgery are all expressly forbidden. Connectivity (Dial-Up) ICNetCo customers may only have one dial-in per account at a time. This means that you cannot call in on two modems at the same time. You may not allow anyone else to dial in using your account. Individual basic accounts are not intended to be full time connections to the internet. ICNetCo customers may not run keep-alive programs or programs designed to keep a connection up by sending regular amounts of data through the dial-up connection. Dial-up and Web Hosting accounts are not to be used to connect servers (FTP, HTTP, SMTP, POP, TELNET, IRC, MOO, MUSH, MUD, etc.) or LANs to the Internet permanently. If you wish to obtain this kind of service, you will need to upgrade to a dedicated or leased line account. Security ICNetCo customers must ensure that their account passwords are as protected as if they were credit card numbers or social security numbers. If someone were to gain access to your account password, they could tamper with your files and your email. IRC ICNetCo customers may not have more than 2 clients on IRC at any one time. A client is either a bot or an IRC session. ICNetCo customers may not have more than 1 bot, or a total of 2 clients on IRC at one time. ICNetCo customers may not flood (send text repeatedly to) other clients on IRC. ICNetCo customers may not spoof/falsify account information. ICNetCo customers may not run link lookers on IRC. ICNetCo customers may not configure eggdrop bots to listen on a designated telnet port. Additional Information Customers of ICNetCo may not host, or permit hosting of, sites or information that is advertised by UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email), off-topic and/or excessively cross/multi posted, spammed USENET advertisements, IRC, or other online venue from any Internet Service Provider. ICNetCo customers may not mount an attack against our system or any other systems. This includes but is not limited to mail bombing (sending three or more unsolicited pieces of e-mail or files exceeding 50K), "hacking" or attempting to gain root access , ping flooding, tsunami or flood bots or annoyance utilities like "nuke" or "flash". ICNetCo customers may not run mailing lists from or through any of our machines or mail servers without our prior permission. ICNetCo customers may not run anonymous remailing or reposting services. ICNetCo must further limit any exception made to our standard user policies as secondary in regards to server security, performance and integrity. Any user, regardless of exception status may have his or her web site, CGIs, bots or other programs running from their account disabled if it is interfering with the security, performance and integrity of ICNetCo Internet's web servers.
